CAVE Academy were recently invited to teach the ACS Hillingdon students a little VFX at Creative Media Skills.
In the heart of Pinewood Studios, we gave the students a general overview of VFX before supervising them as they got behind the camera to create their own short film.
The students were fantastic as they took on the roles of VFX Supervisor, Director, First AD, Cinematographer, Mocap Performers, and much more. Within a very short amount of time, they were framing shots, capturing VFX reference, and shouting “Quiet on set. Roll sound. Roll camera. ACTION” with conviction.
This is a very small snippet of what we got up to, but it was incredible to see what a group of young students can do when working as a team.
