Creating characters, environments and visions of the future is not a simple case of just doing a bunch of drawings, crossing your fingers and hoping the director likes something that you put on the table. When it comes to creating concepts, the aim is to push the narrative and to give the character a soul, or the environment a history. The aim is to tell a story.
