The Role

Your role as a Lidar Capture Technician would include supporting the team with:

• Capture Lidar data on Film Sets and Locations (both in the UK and around the World) to Clear Angle Studio Standards.
• Shooting Set Textures and Panoramas specifically for VFX.
• Registering Captured Lidar data In Leica Cyclone and assisting in delivering data within a short time frame.
• Organizing Textures and stitching Panoramas.
• Updating CAS Shoot Logs and other Shoot documentations.
• Liaising with clients during shoot to make sure we deliver the best service possible.
• Film environments will require you to be flexible and dynamic, as well as working under time pressures.
• Committed to making sure our clients needs are met on site.

You will be provided with on-the-job training and mentoring from Clear Angle Studios to support you throughout the role.

Ideal candidate must have a full clean driving license and ideally be living within or in close proximity to the M25 in order to get to the main Film Studios (Pinewood/Leavesden/Longcross) easily.

Qualifications

• Past VFX experience not essential but advantageous.
• A Comprehensive understanding of Lidar and Photography.
• Experience with data capture using Lidar Scanning Units (Faro, Leica, Trimble etc.).
• Experience with registering laser scan data ideally with Leica Cyclone.
• Meticulous data handling and attention to detail.
• Calm under pressure with good problem-solving skills.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.
• Adaptable and flexible to schedule changes with a willingness to travel.
