Working with the Automotive Material Pack in Unreal Engine
Introduction
This lesson is an extract from our Real-Time Automotive Rendering course, tutored by Paul Eliasz. If you are a new or experienced 3D/VFX Artist who wants to step into real time visualisation, this course will teach you the fundamental workflows and tools to create a striking automotive cinematic.
Here we will take a look at working with the Automotive Material Pack to block out the materials for the car paint, windows, headlights, wheels and tyres.

In this lesson, we’ll give an overview to the car paint shader in UE.

With the car paint good to go, let’s turn our attention to the tyre shaders.

Here we will focus on the badge shaders.
1005. Applying the Wheel Materials
In this lesson, we’ll complete the wheel materials.
1006. Working on the Headlights
With the wheels complete, let us now focus on the headlights.
1007. Working on the Front and Rear Lights
Sticking with the topic of lights, let us now focus on the front and rear lights.
1008. Blocking out the Interior Materials
And lastly, let’s add some shaders to the interior aspect of the vehicle.
