EOT About

Find out about the project, EOT.

This project focusses on a battle between our heroine, Yuki, a ninja warrior, and a monstrous samurai villain, Oni, who is hell-bent on the destruction of her clan.

  • Yuki will be based on a real-word actress, of whom we will capture full body and face reference (scan data, texture, ldev, etc.). We will then build the digi-double from a base mesh and follow a traditional CG Animation asset pipeline.
  • The villain will be created from a concept and will be pushed through the pipeline as a full CG asset.
  • The environment will be a full CG build using a combination of geometry, projections and matte paintings.

Shot Resolution

This project will be rendered with a final resolution of:

  • 3840 x 1634 (2.35:1)

Our working resolution will be:

  • 1920 x 817 (2.35:1)

Asset Resolution

For asset WIP files, renders, turntables, etc, we’ll be working at HD:

  • 1920 x 1080 (HD)

On some occasions, you may be requested to render out a turntable asset related render in UHD 4K.  If so, please render at:

  • 3840 x 2160 (UHD 4K)

Please ensure all textures/projections are created at a suitable resolution for UHD 4K finaling.

Pipeline

The project will follow the CG Animation pipeline. For more information on the EOT specifics, especially in terms of what applications we’ll be using for this project, you can check out this page here: EOT – Project Software and Pipeline
