CAVE Academy were recently invited to visit Lumine Studios in Jakarta, Indonesia to run the Onset Data Acquisition Course.
Day 1 covered what data should be captured onset and how the data is used in post-production, who’s who onset, and shooting HDRIs for lighting and look development. For day 2 and 3, we were busy shooting panoramas, photogrammetry, texture and look dev reference. And for day 4 and 5, we covered shooting lens grids, grain charts, tracking markers, green screens, capturing HDRIs under shoot pressure, managing onset data, processing onset data and general chit-chat about the asset and shot pipeline. Phew!
I just want to say thanks to Kalvin Irawan and the full team at Lumine Studio for your hospitality this week. It’s been an absolute pleasure to spend time with you, and I’m sure you’ll nail the upcoming projects.
